The NAACP National Education Program strives to ensure that all students have access to an equal and high-quality public education by eliminating education-related racial and ethnic disparities in our public schools. It is the responsibility of the Education Committee to ensure educational inequalities and discrimination does not occur. In addition, it is the responsibility of the Education Committee to inform the student body of issues that are of relevance to their academic success at Valdosta State University. The Education Committee shall implement effective programming that will assist students with their academic success as well as will commit itself to these efforts on and off campus.

Our on-campus concentration for our Education Committee will be working with other committees to prepare creative informational forums, workshops, and announcing minority scholarships.


Our off-campus concentration this Fall/Spring will be working with low performing public schools and other local youth programs and events. This is a part of our Mentoring Program. Our key goals when working off-campus will be:
